Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 17, 2026
Club 18 (“Club 18,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and takes the handling of personal information seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you may have regarding your information when you interact with Club 18—whether by visiting our website, placing an order, contacting us, or subscribing to updates.
This Policy is intended to be straightforward and practical. It applies to information collected through our website, checkout process, customer support channels, promotions, and other interactions connected to Club 18.
1) Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by Club 18 in connection with our products and services, including the sale and fulfillment of the Club 18 Book and any related communications. It does not apply to third parties, including golf courses featured in the Book, payment processors, shipping carriers, or other external services that may have their own privacy policies.
2) The Types of Information We Collect
Club 18 collects information in a few different ways depending on how you interact with us.
When you make a purchase, we may collect information such as your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and order details. If you contact us for support, we may collect the details you provide in your message and any information necessary to assist you, including order number or delivery confirmation.
When you browse our website, we may collect general technical and usage information, such as your device type, browser type, approximate location based on IP address, and the pages you view. This helps us operate the website, improve its performance, reduce fraud, and understand how customers find and use our site.
If you choose to join our email list, promotions, or updates, we collect the information you submit, typically your email address, and sometimes your name or phone number if provided.
3) Where the Information Comes From
Most of the information Club 18 collects comes directly from you when you place an order, sign up for updates, or contact us. In some cases, we may receive information through service providers that help us operate, such as Shopify (our store platform), email communication providers, shipping carriers, analytic softwares, and basic analytics tools used to understand site performance.
We may also receive order-related status information from shipping carriers, such as whether a package is in transit, delivered, delayed, or returned.
4) How We Use Personal Information
Club 18 uses personal information for a limited set of business purposes that are directly related to providing the Book and operating our company.
We use customer information to process purchases, confirm orders, ship products, provide tracking details, and respond to customer support requests. We may also use contact information to send important administrative messages, such as updates related to your order, shipping issues, policy changes, or other notices that affect your purchase or experience.
If you opt in to marketing communications, we may use your email address and/or phone number to send Club 18 announcements, promotional offers, news, and updates.
We may also use information about how visitors interact with our website and advertisements to measure campaign performance, improve our marketing efforts, and deliver interest-based advertising.
We also use certain information to protect Club 18 and our customers, such as detecting suspicious activity, preventing fraud, and enforcing our policies when necessary.
5) Payments and Checkout (Shopify)
Club 18 uses Shopify to operate our online store and checkout experience. When you place an order, your payment is processed through Shopify and its payment partners. Club 18 does not store full payment card numbers or complete card details on our own servers. Payment security and processing are handled through Shopify’s checkout tools and compliant payment infrastructure.
Your purchase information (such as name, shipping address, and order details) is used to fulfill your order and support you if issues arise.
6) When We Share Information
Club 18 does not sell your personal information.
We only share personal information in limited circumstances where sharing is necessary to run our business, fulfill orders, provide customer support, or comply with the law. This may include sharing information with service providers such as shipping carriers, payment processors, email and messaging platforms, customer support tools, fraud prevention providers, and advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta, to help us measure ad performance, understand customer behavior, and deliver relevant advertising that helps our website function properly.
Under certain state privacy laws, our use of advertising partners for interest-based advertising may be considered “sharing,” and you may have the right to opt out of such sharing where applicable.
When we share information with these providers, it is for operational purposes only, and not for selling your data or allowing unrelated third-party marketing.
We may disclose information if required to comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights and safety of Club 18 or others, or investigate misuse or fraud.
7) Golf Courses Listed in the Book
The golf courses featured in the Club 18 Book are independent businesses and are not owned or operated by Club 18. When you visit or interact with a golf course, that course may collect information directly from you (such as your name, reservation details, or payment info). Club 18 is not responsible for the privacy practices of any golf course, and this Privacy Policy does not govern how a golf course handles your information.
Club 18 does not provide your personal contact information to golf courses for marketing or list distribution.
8) Cookies and Website Technologies
Like most websites, Club 18 may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function, remember preferences, improve performance, and understand traffic and browsing patterns. Cookies may also support checkout functionality, security features, and fraud prevention.
You can usually manage cookies through your browser settings, including blocking certain cookies or clearing them. Please note that limiting cookies may affect parts of the site, including cart and checkout behavior.
8A) Advertising, Retargeting, and Analytics (Meta / Facebook Pixel)
Club 18 uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors interact with our website, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and display ads that may be more relevant to you on Meta platforms (including Facebook and Instagram) and other websites.
These technologies may collect information such as pages viewed, products viewed, actions taken on our site (such as adding items to a cart or completing a purchase), approximate location (based on IP address), device and browser information, and identifiers such as cookies or similar technologies. This information may be shared with Meta in accordance with Meta’s own privacy policies and used to provide analytics and advertising services to Club 18.
9) Information Retention
Club 18 keeps personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the business, fulfill orders, provide support, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, and protect against fraud or misuse.
We may retain order-related information for accounting, tax, and compliance reasons, and we may retain support communications to resolve issues and improve customer service. Marketing contact information may be retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to legal and operational requirements.
10) Security
Club 18 takes reasonable steps to protect personal information using safeguards appropriate for a small consumer brand operating online. However, no method of storage or transfer is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for taking reasonable precautions as well, including using secure devices and keeping your email and online accounts protected.
11) Children’s Privacy
Club 18 is not intended for children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
12) Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to certain personal information we maintain about you, request corrections, or request deletion where applicable. Certain data may need to be retained for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or order history purposes.
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the right to request information about categories of personal information collected, the purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom information may be shared. Club 18 does not sell personal information.
Requests may be submitted using the contact information, and we may need to verify your identity before processing a request.
12A) Targeted Advertising Choices
You can manage certain targeted advertising preferences through your browser settings and through Meta’s ad settings on Facebook and Instagram. You may also be able to opt out of certain interest-based advertising through industry opt-out tools. Please note that opting out does not eliminate ads, but may make them less relevant to your interests.
13) Third-Party Links
Our website may include links to third-party sites or services. Club 18 does not control and is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of third parties. If you visit a third-party website, you should review their policies directly.
14) Updates to This Privacy Policy
Club 18 may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect business changes, legal requirements, service provider changes, or operational improvements. When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top. Your continued use of our website or continued interaction with Club 18 after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy.
